gonna try to organise my progress here since im getting semi-serious about it. im not really sure how this site works yet but i think ill make progress updates and to-do lists?


anyways, here's what i accomplished this week, from 23-26 May 2023:

1. added a tiled background


2. added and invisible audio player that automatically plays and loops!


3. added an image with a transparent background


4. created an image map on said image (with correct coords!!!


5. made area on image map link to alternate site/page


6. made area on image map open up a modal!!

im still not entirely certain how modals work, i dont like that when you hover over the mailbox it isnt automatically visible that you can click on it to do something (the cursor doesnt change), i dont like that theres no "X" button in the modal box to click out of it and you have to just click outside of the box (which is also not immediately visible), i dont like that i dont know how to add text or anything under the image without putting it inside of the modal (i originally had my code in image-map-areas-modal-text order, i had to put the text first or else it kept getting stuck in the modal) but hey progress i guess???
